How the Doctor feels about god...

RHI: he's kinda like, 'well, there's something, or more than one something, and it made everything, but you know, evolution, and it's just sorta watching...and it's where we get the feelings and need for redemption and morality from--an abstract, and I like pie, and...' He doesn't believe in divine intervention. He feels that goes against the grain [of god's own policy].
RHI: He basically thinks god has a laissez-faire policy, and eventually sticks hir nose in (god is way beyond gender) every so often, and says 'HEY STOP THAT I'M STILL HERE YOU DUMB KIDS!'
RHI: 'GET YOUR BALL OUT OF MY GARDEN!'

To which Shan points out to me that this is deism.
